Farewell, Julie and Susan!
It was such a glorious day to bid farewell to our dearest volunteers. The day started out joyous with a pleasant smell from the kitchen. We had some lovely traditional Ugandan food, followed by speeches from the Ladies, Co-founder Line Svingen, and the volunteers.
The Ladies had also prepared some great entertainment, and they showed their appreciation in terms of gifts, smiles, hugs and tears. Last but not least, we took group photos of everyone who attended the party.
You can see some of the pictures from the party in the slideshow below – and make sure not to miss the video of the traditional dance, songs and drum-play (above).
Susan even tried the drum, and she was great at it!
With so much pleasure, 4Africa wishes to extend its gratitude to the two volunteers; Julie Kirkeng from Norway and Susan Langford from Ireland. They have both been with us for six months and have been of great support to the organisation.
Susan has been helping out in the physical exercises with the Ladies, and she has also done some marketing work for us. Julie has been supporting in administrative work and taking part in all sections in the organisation.
Julie’s friend, Celina, also stayed with us for three weeks. She made a lot of new friends during her stay and contributed to the walfare of the ladies at 4Africa.

It was indeed a great day, though we are sorry that we had to say goodbye to these amazing women!
